People sometimes mix up "recent" and "resent", like this example I found and put in my inbox:
Android Security Bulletins only have fixes for vulnerabilities marked high/critical in resent years.
- "recent" is always an adverb.
- "resent" is mostly a verb lemma (present tense)
- BUT "resent" is also the past tense and past participle of "to re-send", and as such can act as an adjective.
Because of this easy-to-overlook second sense of "resent" it's quite a bit trickier to disambiguate which meaning is the intended one.
While researching this with my ctx tool and Google Search's AI, it found that many erroneous instance of "resent" I was finding were more likely to be OCR errors for "present" judging by their context.
